The Uttar Pradesh government decided to cancel the police constable recruitment examination held on February 17 and 18, 2024. This decision was announced by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He informed that the re-examination will be conducted within the next six months.

This decision was taken when there were allegations of leaking of the exam question paper. Candidates who appeared for the exam alleged that the question paper was available only 8 to 12 hours before the exam. He said that many candidates had this question paper and its price ranged from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh.

This examination was conducted in two shifts, in which more than 48 lakh candidates had applied and 43 lakh appeared for the examination.
Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has canceled the UP Police recruitment examination. This decision was taken when it was claimed that the exam question paper was leaked on social media. After this, the candidates continuously demanded to re-conduct the examination.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the examination will be conducted again within the next 6 months. He said, “There can be no compromise with the integrity of the examinations. Those who play with the hard work of the youth will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action is certain to be taken against such unruly elements.”

The Police Recruitment Board had sought representation letters of objection from the candidates. In an announcement made on Thursday, February 22, the board had said that candidates can submit their evidence through email to board@uppbpb.gov.in by 6 pm on February 23, 2024.
